Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs Together

Updated: Nov 25, 2018

Cole and Mallorie's wedding at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Congratulations to Cole and Mallorie on their wedding at Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor. The perennial garden and its many blooms were at their peak of beauty for their wedding day. The couple had a friend, Eric Tranchell, officiate their wedding and he did an amazing job. It was filled with humor, reverence and an evident appreciation for the friendship he shared with Cole and more recently, Mallorie. They had one reading titled “A Lovely Love Story” by Edward Monkton. It speaks of love between two dinosaurs that embrace each other’s differences and share a deep and abiding lifelong love. It created a tender moment for the couple and guests.

The couple chose contemporary music for their day. With the help Meg, one of the coordinators at the Gardens, the ceremony proceeded seamlessly. We played “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel for the officiant, groom, groomsmen and mothers. Mallorie’s bridal party walked to Beyonce’s Halo while Mallorie chose All Of Me by John Legend for her bridal processional.

It was a lovely day in a beautiful place for two lovely dinosaurs. Such a wonderful way to start a marriage!
